However, his passion happens to be something we use every day and often take for granted – our floors. As the owner of simpleFLOORS for the past eight years, he excels in providing flooring that not only completes a room but perfectly suits the lifestyle of the home owner. The most exciting part of being a business owner is earning great Yelp reviews, some that are at least a paragraph long with lots of details of how we helped customers revitalize their home through highly personalized service. My goal is to maintain high standards in how I run the simpleFLOORS store, and putting the clients first. I credit my success to good customer service, down to a lot of ‘”thank you’s” at the end of a contract or transaction. As Golden regularly works with a variety of interior designers and home improvement professionals, he also notes that he’s gotten feedback from them about his genuine demeanor and the way he connects with each home owner client on a very personal level that ensures satisfaction at the end of the job. “I have been told that I am able to achieve a flow of conversation, am sincere and that I speak with authenticity,” says the Valley native. “When I speak with my clients, I listen carefully to fully assess what their needs are, and educate them thoroughly on all of the different varieties of woods used in flooring on the market today. Once customers know their option, I then recommend flooring solutions that suit them. We don’t want to steer them towards a certain brand or type of flooring, but instead let them know of several options that specifically fit their home improvements and decorating needs. I am also good with design and color, and want to help customers visualize what the home will look like with a given type of flooring.” Although he has customers coming into the shop from all over the Valley, he points out that the customers from Studio City and Sherman Oaks pay closer attention to detail, take pride in their homes, and put the quality of what they are buying before price and other considerations. “I will have the customers shoot and bring in photos of their home,” Danny explains. “I will then show them a catalog of photos featuring different rooms so we can match their ideas together with ours, and they make a sound investment that will make the room an enjoyable experience for years to come.” Currently, wide plank European French Oaks floors are so popular that a display with several colors and textures is the focal point of the store. He predicts the trend will be prevalent for at least another few years. Wide plank European French Oak floors are a great pick because of the interior designers turning to them to complete a room, as well as their presence on such apps and websites (like Houzz and Pinterest) which showcase these florrs in luxury homes with their rich, luxurious uses of the wood.
